(You will notice 311 got it wrong - stating you should put Monday 01/18/2010 garbage out on Tuesday 01/22/2010
)
In observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Solid Waste Services reminds customers:
Residential garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulky items will not be collected on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21, 2008.
Collection services will operate on a one-day delay during the week of January 21.
Residents who normally receive service on Monday should place their rollout carts at curbside no later than 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, January 22.
Tuesday customers will receive service on Wednesday, January 23
Wednesday customers will receive service on Thursday, January 24
Thursday customers will receive service on Friday, January 25
Friday customers will receive service on Saturday, January 26, 2008.

Thank you sooooo much for posting that our garbage will be picked up Tuesday two years ago.....
(You will notice Axa got it wrong - posting you should put your garbage out two years ago next week)
All in good fun Axa..... it may not be all your fault but you did post the "full text of the notice" ![]()
Believe it or not I'm sure the local Sunday paper will get it right for those who get it.... or maybe they won't.

Darn, you spoiled my fun by letting everyone know about the delayed garbage pickup! I always enjoy it when the garbage and recycling is left out for an extra day and it starts blowing around the neighborhood, adding a little color at this time of year.
I guess I will have to watch the speeding cars come down the hill instead.

Hehehe - well judging from this morning's showing of trashcans most people didn't know that Charlotte Meck celebrates MLK Day.

Never could figure out why the trash man works on New Years Day but takes MLK day off. Funny how they work on Labor Day too!
